Why Partner With Us?

All sponsors will receive recognition based on our tiers listed below. Our most used benefits are the 501(c)(3) form of giving through the University of Cincinnati Foundation. Most of our members are looking for Co-Ops or full-time jobs; please ask if you would like access to our resume pool. These students are from the four major colleges at the University of Cincinnati: the Lindner College of Business, the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences (CEAS), the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP), & the College of Conservatory of Music (CCM).

bilstein-01.png

Bilstein approached us with a unique opportunity that includes a custom damper design, damper manufacturing, system-level integration oversight, and involvement during validation and trackside tuning. All of which would be done by hiring an interested student in the organization who is qualified. With Bilstein’s proximity to UC and established internship pipeline, it puts them in a unique position to support both technical execution and knowledge transfer through our students.

Our current vehicle dynamics lead has completed three co-op rotations at Bilstein and has designed a custom damper specifically for our suspension system. The implementation and validation of these dampers are already scheduled for the 2026 competition season.

Following the competition, the design will be refined into a final product for other FSAE teams to purchase, providing Bilstein with a validated development platform and a direct path to market adoption. Based on conservative estimates, the damper project represents potential annual revenue of $XXX,000 over a five-to-ten-year period, with estimated profit margins exceeding XX% once produced. Development costs are minimized with our partnership, including engineering labor and testing resources.

Through this partnership, Bilstein gains workforce development, engineering education, and product opportunities with testing and development. This contribution qualifies Bilstein as a Title Partner for the 2026 season.

Corporate Partnership Benefits

Recruitment Pipeline

We deliver measurable recruitment value. We consistently have 20 or more engineers graduate annually who are trained in system ownership, manufacturing, and cross-functional collaboration. For Title and Gold partners, this represents an estimated $5,000 per hire in reduced recruiting and onboarding costs, based on conservative industry benchmarks for early career engineering hires.

UC’s mandatory co-op program produces engineers with unparalleled real-world industry experience by the time they graduate. The seniors on our team this year are all gathering extensive knowledge of our partner’s products, which makes them ideal employees post-graduation. We measure recruitment success through the number of co-ops and alumni hired post-graduation at each partnered company.

Brand Association & Value

To understand the difference between traditional student organizations, we found it valuable to calculate our brand value. Based on conservative income-based, cost-to-create, and talent pipeline valuation methods, the BCMS brand represents an estimated $1.1 to $1.3 million in brand equity. This value stems from a 50-year competitive legacy, an alumni network exceeding 400 engineers, and an active technical design portfolio. Partner visibility through the BCMS brand provides long-term association with an established organization rather than short-term event-based exposure.

501(c)(3) Benefits

As a registered 501(c)(3) organization operating through the UC Foundation, we structure partnerships as educational support rather than commercial purchases. Our intent is not to displace potential sales but to redirect otherwise idle inventory, excess capacity, or engineering effort into an educational program. In-kind contributions provide partners with tax-deductible value. The foundation allows us to accept gifts in many different forms, most commonly as in-kind donations. Some companies prefer gifting via stock transfers, endowments, etc. This structure allows partners to convert resources into measurable educational, recruiting, and technical returns without competing against their own commercial markets.

Digital Visibility & Content Exposure

We have active accounts on LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.

Videos on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube consistently perform well, often reaching a broader audience beyond our followers. For our Title and Gold Partners, we will film promotional videos alongside our regular content, using humor and entertainment to boost our partners' products and services. Furthermore, with the growing popularity of LinkedIn’s video features, we believe the platform presents a large opportunity to support our partners. Not many FSAE teams use entertaining videos or posts to showcase their partnerships on LinkedIn. Along with Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, we want to dominate the FSAE media on LinkedIn by the start of next season.

Another factor is the graphic design for each post. We have a team of design students who create each post. Their unique skills from the UC College of Design are equivalent to paying for custom graphics valued at around $200 each. Along with our business students from the Lindner College of Business, all students can be hired by our partners.

Shifting the focus to our website, we have prioritized rebuilding our website to match popular FSAE search queries, highlight partner-related projects, recruitment questions, and much more. Unlike many FSAE teams that provide minimal partner visibility, the BCMS website integrates partner logos with contextual explanations of technical contributions, student development outcomes, and career pathways. While overall traffic volume is modest now, engagement is highly targeted toward engineering students, recruiters, and motorsports enthusiasts, aligning closely with partner talent acquisition and brand positioning objectives.

Our partner’s exposure is reinforced through structured search engine optimization (SEO) strategies that emphasize partner names, technical contributions, and related career opportunities. We integrate SEO through logo placement paired with backlinks, technical descriptions, and career-focused messaging. This approach increases long-term search visibility.
