Direct Gifts

Direct gifts don't come with any tax benefit to the individual or company donating. Still, they are the most valuable to the team, as these funds can be used at the track, as gas money for our truck, and as an emergency fund for URGENT purchases that don't require University approval.

Whether you want to double your gift through your employer, make a quick tax-deductible donation, or support Bearcat Motorsports in a long-term way, we offer several easy options to give.

To remain transparent, the foundation does take 5% of any donation under $100,000, but most ways of donating outweigh the percentage being removed from the donation.

Many employers match charitable donations made by their employees. This means your personal gift to Bearcat Motorsports can be matched dollar-for-dollar or more, at no extra cost to you.

How to Submit a Matching Gift

This is a single day where you are reminded to give to an organization of your choice, and it will likely come with a gift or another benefit. Create a Lasting Legacy

Legacy giving allows you to support Bearcat Motorsports through estate planning or long-term financial arrangements.

UC Faculty & Staff Payroll Giving

University of Cincinnati faculty and staff may support Bearcat Motorsports through payroll deduction.

How Payroll Giving Works

  1. Log in to the UC employee giving portal.

     

  2. Select Bearcat Motorsports as your designated fund: Bearcat Motorsports/SAE Formula Car Fund (F100709)

  3. Follow the instructions listed in the Form.​

Stock Transfer Information

Donating stock can provide tax advantages while supporting Bearcat Motorsports.

How to Donate Stock

  1. Please notify the gift planning administration of your desire to make a gift by emailing stockgifts@foundation.uc.edu. You will need to inform the Foundation of the number of shares to be gifted, the name of the expected security, and the name of the beneficiary with fund information (Bearcat Motorsports/SAE Formula Car Fund (F100709)

  2. You or your advisor will be provided with the appropriate transfer instructions for your gift.

  3. Once the Foundation receives your gift, the shares will be sold on the day of receipt, if possible, and the net proceeds will be allocated to the area you want to support.

  4. You will receive a receipt from the Foundation for your generous gift.

Cryptocurrency Donations

Support Bearcat Motorsports by donating cryptocurrency through the UC Foundation’s secure platform.

How to Donate Cryptocurrency

  1. Visit the UC Foundation’s cryptocurrency donation page:

     

  2. Select your cryptocurrency and donation amount.

  3. Contact the Assigned Individual at the UC Foundation to designate Bearcat Motorsports as the beneficiary with the following information: (Bearcat Motorsports/F100709)

  4. Complete the transaction through the secure portal.

Donation Receipts & Tax Documentation

When you donate through the University of Cincinnati Foundation, you will receive a receipt for tax purposes.
