Our Team
Electrical
Our Battery, Electronics, and Powertrain sub-teams are responsible for designing, building, and programming our High Voltage and Low Voltage systems. They use tools like Altium for PCB Design, Raptor for vehicle dynamic control, and Matlab for physical modeling.

Mechanical
Our Frame, Drivetrain, Suspension, and Aerodynamics sub-teams use CAD, simulation software, and 40+ years of BCMS experience to design, validate, and manufacture the body of the vehicle.

Organizational
Our Business and Marketing sub-teams are critical to keeping our team functional. They connect with industry partners and sponsors, organize fundraisers, and create the vehicle design.
THE COMPETITION
Bearcat Electric Vehicle will compete in two competitions for the 2023-2024 Season: Formula SAE Electric in Michigan and Formula Hybrid+Electric in New Hampshire.

Formula SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) Electric is a competition series where universities nationwide compete to design and manufacture the best-performing racecars.

Formula Hybrid+Electric is a competition series in partnership with SAE that emphasizes fuel efficiency. This competition hosts both hybrid and electric vehicles while SAE Electric Michigan is focused on electric vehicles.
